Reconstitution calculator

Works out concentration after adding diluent to a lyophilized vial, and the volume that contains a given amount. Math only: it doesn't recommend any amount.

Typically bacteriostatic water for multi-use vials.

How it works

Concentration = total compound ÷ diluent volume. Volume needed = target amount ÷ concentration. On a U-100 syringe, 1 mL = 100 units, so units = mL × 100.

Example: 10 mg in 2 mL = 5 mg/mL (5,000 mcg/mL). 250 mcg ÷ 5,000 mcg/mL = 0.05 mL = 5 units.
